NTX Newly Elected Congressmen Share the Stage at Federal Legislative Outlook Event

IRVING (WBAP/KLIF)- Newly Elected Congressmen Colin Allred, Van Taylor and Ron Wright shared the stage at a North Texas Commission Luncheon.

The Congressmen discussed transportation, infrastructure, healthcare and trade deals. District 32 Congressman Allred is on the Transportation and Infrastructure committee. “Things that we are doing here that are really important to our area is a priority for me… I’m talking about High Speed Rails between Dallas and Houston is a project that I truly support and want to see here as quickly as possible,” Allred said.

Congressman Taylor added the importance of building new roads to support North Texas’ growing population.

Taylor is on the Education Labor Committee he said he’s worked closely with teachers in Collin County to get input to make the right decisions in Washington. “We have to have great public schools to have a successful community and clearly public schools are the beacon to bringing businesses to Collin County to help us grow so I’m excited to be a part of that,” he said.

Congressman Wright is working With Allred on the Foreign Affairs Committee as well as Education and Labor with Taylor. Wright said his two hearings next week will be about minimum wage in workforce and effects of preexisting conditions in the workforce.
