DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Dallas Police are looking for the man who sexually assaulted a woman in her apartment’s parking garage. This happened at around midnight Friday at an Uptown Dallas apartment on Howell Street. Deputy Chief Thomas Castro said the man went behind the woman, presented a weapon and forced her back into her car. Castro said he sexually assaulted her, took some of her personal items and ran off. The man is black, in his 30’s, 5’9″, medium build wearing a gray doo-rag, dark colored shirt, light jacket and sweatpants, old tennis shoes and is unshaven. Castro said heavy patrols are in place tonight as Uptown is a busy area and bar district. He urges people to contact police if they see anything suspicious and also tells surrounding businesses to check back their surveillance footage to see if anyone matches this description. Castro encourages people to use their apartment’s nighttime security to escort them to their doors late at night if they feel uncomfortable.
The Dallas Police Department is asking anyone with any information to call Detective Holmes at 214-671-3637.
