Dallas ISD Superintendent Gives State of the District

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Over 700 people packed the ballroom at the Dallas Omni Hotel to hear Dallas ISD’s State of the District. Superintendent Dr. Michael Hinojosa talked about the school district’s accomplishments, plans and exciting news at the Inaugural State of the District Event Friday. Hinojosa said the district put together a technology plan, making it a one to one ratio for computing district-wide. He also talked about rebuilding and modernizing 10-15 schools like South Oak Cliff High School. Hinojosa said they have used their bond money wisely and will make these improvements before going out to voters again for another bond that he said will take them to the finish line. Hinojosa also mentioned adding new Fine Arts Programs in Southern Dallas and adding two Career Institutes in the city.
