GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF)- Garland Police are investigating an allegation of a teacher restraining an elementary school student in the classroom.
Garland Police says Garland ISD reported the incident at this Shorehaven Elementary school with a teacher and a pre-school or kindergarten student.
Lieutenant Pedro Barineau said the teacher used something other than their hands to restrain the child but will not release further details this early in the investigation. Barineau said detectives are interviewing school staff witnesses and parents to find out if there will be any criminal charges against the teacher. He said there are no reports of injuries and no arrests have been made.
