DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Rain, snow and freezing temperatures could come along for the ride this holiday week in North Texas. The key areas of danger will again be overpasses, with temperatures well below those on normal roads. Distracted driving will then become even more of a concern. Matt Zavadsky of Medstar Mobile Healthcare says, get focused on getting to your destination, not to being on your cell phone. Another tip is to always leave yourself extra time to get where you need to go. Rushing on the roads is seldom a good idea. It’s also recommended to keep a kit in your car stocked with jumper cables, blankets, flashlights, and even flares if you have them.
