ASSOCIATED PRESS – Texas Governor Greg Abbott is in Japan meeting with Toyota Motor Corporation’s C E O. The automaker relocated it’s North American headquarters to Dallas last year. Abbott has also met with the U.S. Ambassador to Japan, Bill Hagerty.
Governor’s spokesman John Wittman says the Governor is paying for the trip, and returns to the Lone Star State next week.
Abbott also visited India this year, saying he wanted to bring more jobs and businesses to Texas. Corporate donations intended to promote business in Texas funded that trip, through the Economic Development Corporation.
