FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- Fort Worth Police say a suspect has been arrested in the attack of an 83-year-old mother. A tip from our social media led to the identification and arrest of 22-year-old Thaddeus Lamar Clay. Clay is charged with aggravated robbery and car theft.
Fort Worth Officer Buddy Calzada said the woman and her husband are on hospice and left the door unlocked for a nurse to come in. Investigators said when the man broke in, the woman tried to call 911 but the suspect attempted to grab the phone from her hands and knocked her out of her wheelchair and then stole the family’s truck. “We were able to get a photo of him through their security system then we posted it on social media that helped lead to an arrest,” Calzada said. The alleged incident happened December 10th around 6 a.m. at a home on West 5th near University Drive.
