King Arnold Officially Fills Vacancy on Dallas City Council

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas City Council District 4 seat is no longer vacant.

Carolyn King Arnold, who has served on the council before, was sworn-in at a special council meeting Wednesday.

“We have a wonderful citizen of Dallas who loves Dallas very much and loves District 4,” said Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings. “She’s a veteran of the council and it’s good to have [her] back.”

Arnold was elected to serve the remainder of former Mayor Pro-Tem Dwaine Caraway’s term. Caraway’s awaiting sentencing after resigning from the council and pleading guilty to corruption charges.

Arnold won a run-off for the seat last week and said she’s dedicated to the city and to the people of District 4.
