FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) — A woman has been arrested for attempting to set fire to the giant Christmas tree in Fort Worth’s Sundance Square.
A video posted to Facebook shows the woman lighting a piece of paper on fire and tossing it toward the 56-foot tree on Sunday night, with onlookers yelling at her.
Police say she also spread lighter fluid around the tree, and that she ran from the scene. She was, however, eventually arrested and given a mental health evaluation.
No one was hurt, and the tree was unharmed.
