Frisco Police Department

FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF) – Frisco police have caught a coyote but officers have not yet determined if it is responsible for a series of recent attacks.

Frisco police think a coyote animal control removed from the affected area is believed to likely be related to a series of attacks on passersby.

A handful of people have been attacked in the past few days from a coyote while jogging near Eldorado Parkway and Preston Road. Another attack happened near Eldorado Parkway and Granbury.

Injuries ranged from minor to someone needing neck surgery.

The coyote has been sent to Austin for testing.

Police still want the public to watch out if in that area and find a different place to jog for the time being.
