Provided by City of Haslet

TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF)- The city of Haslet is set to receive a brand new four-lane roadway that’ll provide much needed East and West access. Jeff Neal with north central Texas Council of Governments says the U.S. Department of Transportation gave a $20 million grant for construction and state, local and federal organizations will cover the remaining $39 million.  The new roadway will stretch from highway 170 at I35W West over to the Avendale Haslet Road intersection. Construction is set for 2021 and should be completed 18-24 months after that.
