DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — DART is collecting socks and blankets today for senior citizens, and unopened toys and canned foods for underprivileged families.
It’s part of DART’s annual “Stuff the Bus” campaign.
“They barely get any government assistance,” said DART’s Stephanie Reynolds of North Texas nursing homes. “So what we give them is like an extra hand to bring them comfort.”
The main “Stuff the Bus” event takes place Friday at the Mockingbird station from 6:00am to 5:00pm, but donations are being accepted through next week. Donations can be brought to any major DART facility until Tuesday, when the blankets and socks will be delivered.
