DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – Winter weather arrives in North Texas Thursday afternoon with a mixed bag of precipitation. A wind advisory is posted for much of North Texas from 3pm Thursday through noon on Friday. Strong winds are expected to affect all of the region, with gusts to 50 miles an hour possible at times. Strong storms with hail and lightening are expected with the front, but more so east of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex region.
Snowfall could occur anywhere west of the Interstate 35 line, but up to 3 inches accumulation turning to slush is expected from Jacksboro to Lampasas, where a winter weather advisory is posted. Friday morning rain and snow mixed is likely west of Sherman, to Dallas, and onward to Killeen.
