Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Fort Worth Task Force on Race and Culture, dubbed One Fort Worth has provided its final list of recommendations to the city.
It includes more than $3-million worth of proposals, which would be less than one percent of the city’s general fund.
Mayor Betsy Price says the task force did its job.
“I do think Fort Worth truly is a city of compassion and inclusivity and respect to equity for all and I think we’ve begun to demonstrate that.”
The most controversial recommendation has been one calling for civilian oversight of the police department.
The activist group “United Fort Worth” called the recommendations “incomplete and opaque.”
