FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF)- Frisco City Council Approved to have the PGA of America move it’s headquarters from South Florida to Frisco. The 600-acre mixed used development will be located at Rockhill Parkway and Legacy Drive. It will include two championship golf courses, a short course, practice areas, a clubhouse, office space, 500-room Omni Resort and 127,000 sq ft conference center, retail village and parks and open space for several miles of trails. This groundbreaking agreement will bring new jobs and an economic impact of more than $2.5 billion dollars over the next 20 years according to a city commissioned tourism study. The PGA of America is teaming with Omni Stillwater Woods, the City of Frisco and Frisco ISD. The entire project will have an initial investment totaling more than $520 million. Also, more than 300 Frisco ISD golfers will practice at the facility every week. Golf Courses are expected to open Summer 2022 and other facilities within 6 months of that.
