Deputies arrived first on scene with flames showing through the roof of the home. They immediately attempted rescue operations to remove several small children from inside the house. Deputies and a neighbor were passing victims through a window located at the back of the home.

“The Deputies happened to be close and if we hadn’t have been close I think we would’ve had a real disaster,” said Sheriff Fowler.
