DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The case against former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger is being presented to a grand jury.
Guyger is charged with Manslaughter in the shooting death of 26-year-old Botham Jean in his apartment in September. Police say Guyger admits to shooting Jean but claims she mistook his apartment for her own and thought he was an intruder. She was fired from the Police Department for her involvement in the shooting.
The Dallas County District Attorney’s office said it would present all options to the grand jury, which could include a murder indictment. The grand jury could return an indictment on the manslaughter charge or a no bill.
