DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Most retailers at the Galleria Dallas have 50% off their entire store for Black Friday.
Galleria General Manager Angie Freed said some deals started earlier this year and some retailers marketed their deals through apps.
Freed said they do compete with online shopping but most people come to Galleria on black Friday for the experience, tradition and to see the free ice show next to the tallest indoor Christmas tree in the country.
2014 U.S Olympic Gold Medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White perform at 12p Friday and 6p Saturday. Every show features Missile Toes, an ice-skating, back-flipping, pyrotechnic Santa, along with local children performing, a countdown to a fireworks finale and the lighting of the tree. Davis and White will also be dancing to Mariah Carey “All I want for Christmas”. “We wanted to do something more fun more upbeat…it certainly fits the theme of Galleria Dallas,” White said. Viewers stack next to the ice to see the show and enjoy holiday shopping. “It’s such a great way to ring in the holiday season and even get some shopping done before heading home,” Davis said.
