Voters have approved the largest bond in Tarrant County history. The total was eight hundred million dollars. It is the first one for the Tarrant County Hospital district in 33 years.
JPS will be able to not only improve patient care but will leverage the bond money to bring in new revenue through creative public-private partnerships.
In coming days, the Hospital District Board of Managers, along with the Commissioners Court and JPS administration, will move forward to prioritize the recommendations of the CBRC – four additional community-based health centers, a new mental and behavioral health hospital, a new in-patient tower, a new cancer center and a new day surgery center.
