A Dallas-Based Wealth Expert Says the Economy Will Drive Much Midterm Voting Today

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – With the latest jobs report showing the lowest unemployment rate since 1969, Dallas-based financial and economics expert Angela E. Matthews says the stats will be a driver of a lot of midterm voting today.

“I think people are going to be leaning in on the jobs report, they’re going to be leaning into the stock market and what the economy is perceived as doing as a reason to say, I need to get out and vote.”

The U.S. Labor Department says some 250-thousand jobs were created in October.  The stellar numbers represent a continuation of growth seen over the past 9 or 10 years. Matthews says, driving those numbers is growth in technology and manufacturing.

“The tech sector saw an increase in jobs, so did the manufacturing industry which is something that our president is so passionate about.”

The unemployment rate as 3.7% in October.
