TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News) – Some North Texans who are voting straight ticket are reporting malfunctions with their voting machines.
The Texas Civil Rights Projects said many claim when they review their votes before submitting…their selections were flipped to the opposite party.
This Plano man said the problem, if there is one, needs to be resolved.
“I didn’t noticed anything when I voted personally. If that’s going on then people need to report it. We’re always told things like that though. I don’t know if I believe it. I don’t always believe everything I hear” he said.
The Texas Secretary of State’s Office said the problem is likely a user error where people are turning a dial before their selection fully renders on the screen.
The office urges residents to pay close attention to their screens when voting.
Tarrant is one of 82 Texas counties that use the machines in question.
