Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Police in Richardson say they got 3 calls within 30 minutes from residents reporting that their Beto O’rourke and Colin Allred yard signs had been set on fire.
The Dallas Morning News reports that five yard signs for Democratic candidates were set on fire in a Richardson neighborhood Monday night.
O’Rourke is in a tight battle for incumbent U.S. Senator Ted Cruz’s seat, and Allred is locked in a close race with Rep. Pete sessions in the 32nd Congressional district.
In reaction, the Texas Civil Rights Project said in a tweet: This is NOT ok and is voter intimidation. If this happens to you, call the police immediately & report it to our hotline by calling 866-OUR-VOTE.”
