George W. and Laura Bush to be Honored for Work With Veterans

(WBAP/KLIF) – Former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush are being honored for their work with veterans.

The National Constitution Center announced Wednesday that the couple will receive its Liberty Medal. The Philadelphia museum says the award will be presented by former Vice President Joe Biden on Veterans Day.

“Veterans and their families devote their lives in service to this country, and that is why initiatives like those at the Bush Institute are critically important,” Biden said in a statement.

Last year, the award was given to late U.S. Senator John McCain.
