Lockheed Martin Engineers to Assess Damage to Fighter Jets During Hurricane Michael

(WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth based Lockheed Martin is helping assess damage from Hurricane Michael.

Officials with the Air Force said Tuesday that structural engineers from the aerospace company will examine damage done to F-22 Raptor fighter jets at the Tyndall Air Force Base east of Panama City, Florida. The base suffered extensive damage but many planes were moved ahead of the storm.

The Air Force said some damage was done to F-22’s but how much and to how many isn’t clear. Government records show that each aircraft costs more than $300 million.
