Record Rainfall at DFW Int’l; Fort Worth

DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF)  – North Texas is experiencing record rainfall for the month of October so far this year.   At Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, 9.02 inches has fallen from the first through the fifteenth of the month; that beats a record for the same time period in 1959 of 8.86 inches.

National Weather Service Meterologist Bianca Villanueuva says another rainfall record to date has been cracked in Fort Worth, with 6.74 inches of rain falling Oct. 1- 15th, breaking a 1998 record of 5.25 inches.

Villanueuva says forecasters expect another inch of rain to fall this week as storm systems remain circulating.
