
WYLIE (WBAP/KLIF) – Investigators from Wylie and Farmersville Police Department’s continue to investigate an incident that led to a Police chase and deadly crash Wednesday in Farmersville.
According to the Wylie Police Department, Police responded to a residence on Fifth Street before 3 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses told Officers a 15-year-old boy and his mom were involved in a disturbance and the mother was bleeding. When Police arrived the teenager led Officers on a chase into Farmersville on HWY 78. Farmersville Police deployed spike strips. Two miles after running over the spike strips the teenager crashed into a heavy duty truck and was killed.
Wylie Police said late Wednesday that an investigation revealed that the teenager had struck his 40-year-old mother in the head several times with a baseball bat. She remains hospitalized.
The investigation is ongoing.
