(WBAP/KLIF) – Senator John Cornyn believes the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation process will help his colleague Senator Ted Cruz in Cruz’s Senate race against Congressman Beto O’Rourke.
“This is a very popular confirmation in Texas and I think it will make a difference in the Senate race in Texas because Mr. O’Rourke has come out opposed to that nomination,” Cornyn said Thursday.
While recent polling had both Cruz and O’Rourke neck and neck, a new poll this week gave Cruz a 9 point advantage over his Democratic challenger.
