Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, who is in a tight battle to defend his seat, says he raised more than 12-million in the third quarter — a big jump, amid the massive campaign war chest of his Democratic challenger, Beto O’Rourke.
According to the Texas Tribune, the Cruz campaign says the figure is a record for a U.S. Senate race in Texas.
Cruz made the announcement during a campaign rally in Plano Thursday with Donald Trump Jr.
It’s not expected to top O’rourke’s third-quarter numbers, which have not been released yet.
