MESQUITE (WBAP/KLIF) – A candlelight vigil is planned for Saturday night in Mesquite to honor the 12-year-old girl killed in a school bus crash Wednesday on Lawson Road.
According to a Police report released Thursday, Jazmine Alfaro died after becoming trapped in the bus after it rolled over and caught fire. Close to 40 other students survived the accident. A memorial continues to grow at the crash site and the school district said it’s left with a heavy heart.
The vigil will be at Family Cathedral of Praise in Mesquite at 7 p.m. Saturday.
