(WBAP/KLIF) – The Senate debate between Senator Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke scheduled for Sunday in Houston was postponed Friday.
A statement from the University of Houston, where the debate was scheduled to happen, said it’s postponed because Senator Cruz will be in Washington for weekend votes on the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation.
Statement from University of Houston on Facebook:
“The Sept. 30 debate between Senator Ted Cruz and Congressman Beto O’Rourke at the University of Houston has been postponed. Senator Cruz will be in Washington, D.C. for weekend votes. UH, Univision 45 and ABC-13 are working with the campaigns to find a new date to reschedule.”
Another debate between O’Rourke and Cruz is scheduled for next month in San Antonio.
