FOREST HILL (WBAP/KLIF) – Heavy rain from over the weekend and throughout the week caused flood damage to several homes in Tarrant County. A veteran-led disaster response organization, Team Rubicon, is lending a hand to help with clean up. Going from home to home near Everman , Rubicon’s Matt Foster says they’ve done whatever they can to make it easier for homeowners. Thursday they helped a Forest Hill homeowner, Naomi Collins, who’s floors were completely damaged from flooding.
“I appreciate everything they’ve done, they’ve done a good job, better than the one that’s been paid for,” Collins said.
Foster said the team removed damaged flooring in her home and is waiting for contractors to continue the recovery process. “We had a huge rainstorm out here and she had a lot of damage to her house, we just came out to help her get rid of all that tile and damaged flooring,” he said.
Collins has lived in the home for 30 years, she said she’s thankful for the support.
