McKinney, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A trio of big name Texas Republicans will be on the campaign trail in McKinney on this Labor Day.
Governor Greg Abbott, Senator Ted Cruz, and Attorney General Ken Paxton will be at the Cotton Mill at 10am., in an appearance that’s billed as a ‘family friendly’ event, with live music and bounce houses.
For Cruz, it’s his second trip to McKinney in less than a month. He campaigned there three weeks ago with his father by his side.
He’s in a neck-in-neck battle with Democrat Beto O’Rourke.
The most recent Emerson poll has Cruz narrowly head of O’Rourke by one point. The same poll however, includes 21-percent of potential voters who have not declared support for either candidate.
It may be a holiday, but @GregAbbott_TX, @tedcruz and @KenPaxtonTX aren’t taking the day off. They’ll be in McKinney this morning at 10:00 for a campaign rally at the Cotton Mill. More on @WBAP247NEWS & @570KLIF. pic.twitter.com/u0DVg4N4Gb
