Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – A handful of activists have raised enough money to display a mobile billboard when President Trump comes to Texas next month to support Ted Cruz.
A GoFundMe page created by Houston-based activist Antonio Arellano on Saturday, and supported by Stoneman Douglas school shooting survivor-turned activist David Hogg raised nearly 10-thousand dollars in one day.
The donation page reads:
“President Donald Trump will be campaigning to help Sen. Ted Cruz win his re-election. A rally is being planned, according to Trump “at the biggest stadium in Texas.”
We are planning to display the presidents own words about Cruz from 2016 on a mobile billboard, to remind Texans of the truth.
This is a joint effort initiated by Antonio Arellano in collaboration with Claude Taylor and David Hogg. The money raised by this account will go towards funding the mobile billboard to maximize visibility and impact.
Please consider donating. Every dollar counts. Texans deserve better.”
The mobile billboard will display Trump’s tweets from the 2016 primary race, where then-candidate Trump said Cruz hasn’t done anything for Texas and that Texans should not support him.
We did it — Congratulations! Thanks to your contributions our mobile billboard will be seen by thousands of Texans.

It’s still unknown where that rally will happen, though Mr. Trump says he wants to have it at the biggest stadium in Texas.
