TYLER – (Associated Press) – Capital murder charges are now added to three aggravated assault charges against a former East Texas nurse, accused of causing the deaths of hospital patients.
Authorities in Smith County say 24 tear old William George Davis intentionally injected air into catheters inserted into arteries of at least seven patients at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
Two patients died; two others were left in vegetative states. Davis is held on bonds in Smith County totaling four million dollars. Trial is scheduled to begin December third.
