Arlington (WBAP/KLIF) – Arlington Police have arrested a suspect who allegedly fled a traffic stop by running over a police officer’s motorcycle. According to Arlington Police 27 year old Lonnie Johnson had been stopped in the parking lot of an apartment complex. As the motorcycle officer stood beside Johnson’s car he suddenly put it in reverse, nearly striking the officer. Johnson rammed and crushed the police motorcycle, then sped off. He was arrested Saturday, and now faces aggravated assault and evading arrest charges.
