Arlington, TX – (WBAP/KLIF) – The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce is backing an alternative term limit plan for the mayor and city council members.
This, after thousands of citizens signed a petition requesting to put a measure on November’s ballot that would limit city officials to three two-year terms.
One Arlington man says it doesn’t matter to him which plan wins out, he just wants to see it happen.
“I think whenever someone gets comfortable in a job it gets mundane basically, they really wouldn’t be focused on the people.”
If approved, the alternative plan would give city leaders three three-year terms.
