Tens of Thousands Attend Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair is expected to bring 35 thousand folks to fair park today.

The fair is designed to provide low income families free school supplies; but, this year, the fair is open to all Dallas ISD families, regardless of income.

Mayor Mike Rawlings says no kid deserves to show up on day one already behind.

“They’re going to sit there in that chair and feel like an outcast because they don’t have the school supplies that everyone else does.”

In addition to supplies, kids can get health screenings and haircuts.
