Tarrant County Reports First Human Case of West Nile of 2018

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – Tarrant County Public Health has announced the first human case of West Nile Virus in Tarrant County.

The patient has been diagnosed with the mild form of the disease known as West Nile Fever. The more intense form is West Nile Neuroinvasive Disease.

The patient is in Southeast Tarrant County.

Other human West Nile cases have been reported in Dallas County this year.
