DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Two Uber passengers were hurt in what is believed to be a random shooting at Loop 12 Walton Walker and Northwest Highway in northeast Dallas. The man and woman told Dallas Police they ran inside the nearby Exxon gas station when they realized they were being followed and shot at. The cashier, Matene Khokhar, said they locked the doors and hid in the back as the shooter circled the store.
“I became scared when I heard the shots, the five or six shots, I told them they don’t need to go outside,” said Khokhar.
Two other cars were shot as the shooter allegedly circled the store and continued to shoot into the street. Police believe the Uber passengers were not targeted as two other people were also running for safety at the time of the shooting. Both passengers are expected to be okay.
