Southwest Airlines Taxis Out of the Gate with International Cargo Shipping to Mexico

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Southwest Airlines is making a change to how it has historically handled cargo. The company is rolling out its international cargo shipping plan starting with Mexico City, Mexico. The company now has four daily non-stop flights to Mexico City.

Wally Devereaux, Senior Director of Cargo & Charters said “the company already ships all sorts of things throughout the U.S., including perishables, retail items, machine parts, and medical specimens.”  The company expects to increase revenue over time by adding more cargo destinations and flights.

The company says they do not fly warm blooded animals as cargo.
