GRAND PRAIRIE (WBAP/KLIF) – On Sunday morning, a 42 year old bicyclist was killed after a car hit him from behind on South Belt Line road near Interstate 20. Grand Prairie Police Sergeant Eric Hansen says the car fled the scene driving northbound on Belt Line.
“The most important feature being that the front right headlight is either partially out or completely out as a result of the impact with the bicycle. The witness described the vehicle as a black mid 2000’s Impala or Malibu,” said Hansen.
Witnesses say the driver and passenger were black woman in their late twenties and that the driver was wearing a pink shirt, khaki shorts and pink tennis shoes.
“The driver approached the victim, inquired as to whether he was dead or not, then proceeded to get back in her vehicle and drive away northbound on belt line road,” said Hansen.
