GRAPEVINE (WBAP/KLIF) – Grapevine Police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital.
According to the Grapevine Police Department, shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, Officers responded to a shots fired call at the Village on the Creek Apartments, in the 3100 block of Mustang Drive. Four bullets were fired into the door of an apartment unit, but nobody was hurt.
Police say that approximately 30 minutes later, a shooting was reported at the Encore Apartments, in the 3000 block of Mustang Drive. The suspect fired several shots through the closed door of an apartment. Two people inside the apartment, a man and woman, were hit by multiple bullets. Both were transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine. The man’s injuries are considered stable. The woman underwent surgery. Two others in the apartment were not hurt.
Police believe the two incidents may be related and are talking with several witnesses from the apartments. According to a preliminary investigation, it is believed the suspect knew the victims and specifically targeted their apartments.
