North Texans Stocking up on Fireworks this Fourth of July

(WBAP/KLIF) – North Texans are hitting fireworks stands outside of city limits to stock up for the Fourth of July.
Katy Yarbrough owns a fireworks stand in Van Zandt County and said Tuesday that it’s been a busy year for fireworks sales so far.

“This year has been good,” said Yarbrough. “The year started off really good and we just want everybody to be safe celebrating the fourth.”

Most fireworks stands in Texas sell everything from sparklers to high flying, colorful fireworks.

“People remember things from last year and they haven’t thought of them since this time last year,” said Yarbrough. “It’s really fun to see their faces and interact with people.”

July 3 and July 4 are two of the busiest days of the year for fireworks vendors.
