
ADDISON (WBAP/KLIF) – Hundreds of thousands of North Texans will celebrate the Fourth of July a day early.
Addison’s Kaboom Town is held on July 3 every year and features fireworks and an air show.
“My best advice is to come early so you can scope out your spot,” said Mary Rosenbleeth, Town of AddisonPublic Communications Director.
500,000 people are expected to watch the kaboom town fireworks. Some streets in and around Addison are already closed off for the event.
Below is a list of street closures:
Parking along the following roads will be prohibited between 2 am on Tuesday, July 3 and 6 am on Wednesday, July 4.
- Quorum Drive from Arapaho Road to Morris Avenue
- Witt Place (south of the parking garage entrance/exit) to Addison Circle Drive
Festival Way from Addison Road to Quorum Drive will close, June 28 at 9 am and will re-open, July 5 by 5 pm.
Addison Circle Drive from Addison Road to Witt Place will close on, July 2 at 8 am and will re-open, July 5 by 9 am.
Quorum Drive from Arapaho Road to Morris Avenue will close on, July 3 at 9 am and will re-open, July 4 by 1 am.
McEntire Place west of Lewis Place to Quorum Drive will close on, July 3 at 9 am and will re-open, July 4 by 1 am.
Spectrum Drive from Arapaho Road to McEntire Place will close on, July 3 at 9 am and will re-open, July 4 by 1 am.
Arapaho Road Bridge will be closed at 1 pm on July 3 and will open after the fireworks show (approximately 10:30 pm).
Addison Airport Tunnel will be one way (westbound on July 3) from approximately 9:30 pm – 11:30 pm. The Town of Addison will pay the tunnel fee for cars during the closed period.
Lindbergh Drive will close at approximately 6 pm on July 3 and will open after the fireworks show (approximately 10:30 pm).
