One Dead, Others Injured after Explosion at Central Texas Hospital

(AP) – One person has died following an explosion at a Texas hospital construction site.

Bob Harrell, emergency manager for Coryell County, says that a dozen people were injured by the blast.

The explosion happened at the Coryell Memorial Healthcare System hospital in Gatesville.

Harrell was speaking at a news conference.

GATESVILLE (WBAP/KLIF) – Several people are believed to be injured after some sort of an explosion on the site of a hospital in Gatesville, Texas which is west of Waco and just north of Fort Hood.

Waco television station KWTX is reporting this happened at a construction site connected to Coryell Memorial Healthcare System.

Television station KECN is reporting 12 people were transported to area hospitals and that there was a building collapse.

At this time there are no indications anyone has been killed.
