Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas activists took part in a nationwide effort protesting the treatment of illegal migrant children who are being separated from their parents, as part of the Trump administrations ‘zero tolerance’ immigration policy.
A young child who spoke at the ‘families belong together’ rally outside Dallas city hall said kids at the border are being treated like animals” and demanded that ICE reunite those children with their families.

Activist and volunteer with DFW Lideres (leaders in Spanish) told the WBAP/KLIF news department, “This is a pivotal point in American history when the people of the United States have to choose whether or not we’re going to stand idly where we’re breaking internaitonal law.”
Meantime, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins has asked federal refugee officials to bring some of the children to be cared for in Dallas.
