DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – This week’s summit between President Trump and Kim Jong Un is something many Koreans have wanted for a long time.
Many Koreans across the world are hopeful the talks will bring peace and denuclearization. Jiho Jun is a reporter for ‘News Korea’ based in Dallas and said that a meeting like this has always been desired.
“After the Korean war this kind of meeting was hard to get,” said Jun. “People hoped this kind of meeting would happen.”
Jun said that many Koreans remain hopeful but are still skeptical that the north will change. He said it’s possible the meeting could improve the relationship between North Korea and South Korea, as well as other countries including the United States.
