Dallas-Fort Worth – (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas DPS is continuing the investigation into a fatal accident on a private drive off of county roads 124 and 161 in Collin County last night.
DPS spokesman Lonny Haschel says a 2010 Corvette was traveling south on the private drive, entering a parking lot when a large tree broke in half and actually fell on the Covette. The driver sustained a fatal injury and died at the scene.”
The incident happened just around 7:30pm near the Frozen Ropes Baseball & Softball Training Facility, northwest of Mckinney.
It’s not clear if bad weather at the brought the tree down.

Dallas-Fort Worth – (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas DPS and Collin County Sheriff’s investigated a fatal accident involving a tree that fell on a car killing the driver.
The incident happened near Frozen Ropes Softball and Training Facility, located northwest of McKinney.
Authorities say bad weather was moving through the area at the time, around 10:30 last night, but they’re still trying to determine if it contributed to the accident.
Investigators are expected to be back on the scene later this morning.
The victim was driving a red corvette.
