(WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Animals Services (DAS) is overflowing with dogs and cats that are desperately in need of finding new homes. Because its over capacity, the DAS is currently having all adoption fees waived. Mia Cheung is with the DAS and says if you aren’t sure about adopting, fostering an animal is another great option. “You can foster short term kittens (about 2 months or so) an adult dog (time may vary) or short term fostering for our transport animals. Transport animals are when we work with other rescue groups who need more adoptable dogs/cats, so we want to send as many dogs out of Dallas that we can.”
The DAS has two locations: the Main Adoption Center: 1818 N. Westmoreland Road and the PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center at 16821 N. Coit Road. To see the hours for both locations visit: www.dallasanimalservices.org.
