Unseasonably Scorching Temperatures Arriving in North Texas

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – It’s hotter than normal for May in North Texas.
Forecasters are calling for the possibility of eight straight 100 degree days beginning later this week. On average, the first 100 degree day hits the DFW metroplex on July 1.

“”We have to stay hydrated and drink a lot of water and gatorade,” said a construction worker in downtown Dallas, Tuesday. “Because we sweat and lose more water with this heat being as hot as it is.”

The high temperature for June 1 in North Texas is being predicted as 102 degrees. The Salvation Army plans to set up cooling stations at its locations beginning next month.
